Trick or Treat!

Once a year.  45 minutes.  Hours of preparation.  Pounds (and pounds) of candy.
Was it worth it?
See for yourself.

Let me introduce you to Dorothy and her dog Toto, Blue the famous dog with all the Clues, the Not-So-Tiny-Fairy, and Glinda the Good Witch (or as Gracyn likes to say, "The nice wicked witch").

It was a treat for us to get to Halloween with some of our dearest friends.  As you can see, Gracyn Glinda and Batman have a little spark between the two of them.  It's tough battling the evils of Gotham City and Oz.  So glad they've found support in one another.

On another note, Kaden refused to hold my hand from door to door.  Seems the little bumble bee on the end was far more appealing to walk with than his own momma.  Oh, no... It's starting early.

As we rounded out the night, we opted to allow the kids to sell their candy back to us for 25 cents a piece.  We have discovered that food dyes and kids are not meant to be together, so the less they have the better.  It was completely up to them as to what they sold and how much.  They kept a small handful, maybe 4 or 5 pieces, and turned in the rest.

Looks like we've got some shopping to do at Toys R Us this weekend.  As you can see they earned a pretty penny!

And yes... It was all worth it!

My kids had to count their candy for homework- over 200 pieces each. That would cost us $50 per kid! The kids looked super cute!

Just the Six of Us

Six may seem like a lot but only to others. It is who we are. Some people like peace and quiet (who doesn't?), but the quiet we lack we gain all the more in giggles, feet scampering, I love yous, tickles, tiny voices singing. Being a mother to these four amazing little people and a wife to the most incredible person I know is a blessing that can't be put into words; I am living my dream.
