Ok. So there's a little something I left off of my New Year's Resolutions list simply because I thought it was way out of reach. I thought this would never, ever, EVER happen, at least not in South Carolina. Now, I always joke with Jason about driving out to Arkansas some day to make this dream a reality. But, he just scoffs at my dreams (what kind of husband is that?). But today... My dream became a reality. I'm still floating on clouds (kinda). I'm still pinching myself (kinda). I'm still amazed that this dream of mine came true. Today, I met.... Drumroll please... THE DUGGARS!
Yes, THE Duggars! If you have stopped rolling your eyes long enough to look at the pictures below, there is proof. My favorite TV family were in wee little old Florence, South Carolina. But, folks, it almost didn't happen for me. I almost missed my dream by a hair.
You see, I was checking my email at 1:55. There was a note from a trusted source that the Duggars were going to be at Chick-fil-a today from 2-3. So, I did what any rational person would do, I woke Jason up from his much needed nap and told him I was going to meet the Duggars. As I raced out the door, I said, "I sure hope it's true!" Jason laughed.
But, it was true! The sign on Chick-fil-a read, "Welcome Duggar Family." I couldn't believe it! I wish, wish, wish, wish Michelle had been there, but she and many of the younger children were absent. Some of the Bates family members were there, also. And, you guessed it, Jim Bob.
Stop rolling your eyes. I'm telling a story here and this is MY blog. Ok, back to Jim Bob. Anyway, they were there promoting a particular candidate. But after their speeches, they went around the restaurant and talked to everyone. I got to talk with Jill and Jinger. Jinger and I connected, I could tell ;). They were very sweet and generous with their time. And just what you would expect them to be like, if you have ever watched their show.
Ok, now you know more about me that you probably wished to know. I LOVE the Duggars.
Just the Six of Us
Six may seem like a lot but only to others. It is who we are. Some people like peace and quiet (who doesn't?), but the quiet we lack we gain all the more in giggles, feet scampering, I love yous, tickles, tiny voices singing. Being a mother to these four amazing little people and a wife to the most incredible person I know is a blessing that can't be put into words; I am living my dream.
