Mom:  Hey guys, we're going to the farm, let's get ready to go.
Ella:  What are we getting there?
Mom:  Cheese and some milk.
Ella:  Ok.

30 minutes later in the van on the way to the farm...

Gracyn:  Mommy, we go chicken store?
Mom: What?  No, we're going to the farm.
Gracyn:  Nooooo... Chicken store?
Mom:  We aren't going to Chick-fil-a, Gracyn.
Gracyn:  Noooo... CHICKEN - STORE!

Lightbulb goes off.

Mom:  Oooooohhhhhhh.  The "chicken" store.  Yep, we're going to the chicken store, babe.

Crazy what kids think.



Hannah bumped her head the other day on the wall then came to me much later to tell me, "Mom, I think I'm getting an egg-goose on my head."

"Oh, yeah... I can see that 'egg-goose' getting pretty big!"




Ella:  "Mom, the bridge of my nose hurts really bad."
Mom: (thinking) When have I ever used the term "bridge" to describe her nose?
Ok, hun, where exactly is your bridge?
Ella:  (pause, smiling coyly) I dunno.  I just read about it in Amelia Bedelia.
