Not Your Average Resolutions

I am not one to make New Year's Resolutions.  Mainly because I know myself well enough to know that it won't last longer than 2 days.  Heck, I'm still drinking coke.  But, this year I have some things in mind that I want to accomplish:

I want to...

Learn to sew.  There's a two-year-old-not-yet-gotten-out-of-the-box-Christmas-present sewing machine sitting in my closet.  I really, really do like it honey.

Bake my own bread weekly from my own freshly ground flour.  Can't wait to post on that one!

Grown a year round garden.  Starting this spring (does that count?).

Get some chickens... Are we seeing a theme, here?

Can lots of food from my garden.

Spend more time with extended family.

Serve more with my family.

Pray more with my husband.

So there's a thousand more things on my mind I want to do... But I don't want to overwhelm myself, of course.  And if I put things on here like, "repaint 75% of the house" Jason just might put me in the nut house.  And I like this house, ugly brown paint and all.

Just the Six of Us

Six may seem like a lot but only to others. It is who we are. Some people like peace and quiet (who doesn't?), but the quiet we lack we gain all the more in giggles, feet scampering, I love yous, tickles, tiny voices singing. Being a mother to these four amazing little people and a wife to the most incredible person I know is a blessing that can't be put into words; I am living my dream.
