Allow me to set the stage. Ella has been boy crazy for some time. Not in the teenager sense, but in the sense that she prefers playing with them because they crack her up. And, she tends to lean towards athletic play rather than girly-girl play. However, after hanging out with some of our friends' sons, she has come to a revelation.
Ella: Mommy, I like girls better than boys.
Mom: Why is that Ella?
Ella: Because, Mommy, girls are softer.
Just the Six of Us
Six may seem like a lot but only to others. It is who we are. Some people like peace and quiet (who doesn't?), but the quiet we lack we gain all the more in giggles, feet scampering, I love yous, tickles, tiny voices singing. Being a mother to these four amazing little people and a wife to the most incredible person I know is a blessing that can't be put into words; I am living my dream.
